6 Posts in One Day

I believe I am all caught up...Horray!!

Christmas Caroling

At the beginning of the week, over Birthday lunch for Annie. Happy Birthday!! Can you tell I get easily distracted. Anyway we decided that we wanted to get into the Christmas spirit and came to the conclusion that we should go caroling to a nursing home on Sunday. The plan was made to just go to one in Pleasant Grove. Then the week went crazy sad. Grandpa got put into ICU, was then given 6 months to live and is now in a nursing home as of Saturday! It is all hard to believe, and still hasn't seemed to settle in. So of coarse I suggested we go to the nursing home my Grandpa is in. We ended up doing just that and I am so grateful. When we got there pretty much my whole family was already there so it was great fun to have them join in on the caroling. We would go to each room, ask if we could sing and offer them some Christmas cookies we brought. You could tell they loved it, as did we. The elderly are so sweet and often taken for granted. We took my Grandpa along to each of the rooms and it was so fun to hear him singing along. I don't even want to think about seeing him go, but know when he does go it will be his time. It will probably be more enjoyable for him, with no pain and to see all the loved ones who have passed on before him. I love him so much!! I also just had to say thanks again to everyone for a wonderful night. I know as I serve I get just as much, or if not more out of it :)...Merry Christmas!!

Zacks 1st Real Food

I don't know if Rice Cereal should count as food, but here he is. He has been wanting food for awhile now and I was trying to wait until 6 months on the day, soon realizing that a few days/weeks isn't going to hurt. He always watches us in awe as we eat, trying to get our food and licking his lips. Love him...

TWILIGHT

I am not even sure that I want to get started on this subject...lol. I loved the books (for the most part) but was not a huge fan of the movie. Maybe it didn't help that I was critiquing it the whole time, or that Aaron went with me. A part of me does want to see it again so it couldn't have been that bad, right? Hopefully this next time I will be able to enjoy it a little more!! It was fun going though. It was cold out, but Aaron and I decided since we were free of kids we would ride his motorcycle to the theatre. That was probably the best part, I had a blast. Thanks for the ride, babe!!

Ty, Target, Asleep?

The pictures say everything.

Big Fun 2 Days in a Row

The first week in December Ty and Zack (mostly Ty) were able to enjoy "The Museum at Gateway," and the "Zoo Lights." I had never even heard of the Museum at Gateway. Annie took me up there and the kids had a blast. They have all sorts of fun stuff to do I wouldn't even know how to explain it all. And what do you know, they even have a real helicopter outside that the kids can sit in while it makes the noises. Ty wanted to keep going outside so he could see the helicopter. It was alot of fun. If you are reading this Amber we even saw a picture of you in one of the recording booths. So fun!! I totally forgot to take pictures until right when we were leaving so here is a picture of Ty in the store (it is the only one I have, sad :(, we will have to go again for sure). Ty get pushing the button, "Help on aisle 5, help!" :)

Next the Zoo Lights. Thanks to Amy and Kirk for inviting us to come along. It was a good, FREEZING time. I mostly felt bad for Ty, seeing as he didn't want to keep his gloves on at all. Lots of the animals were not out or we could not see them, so that was sad, but what we did get to see was fun. The best was when we were in looking at the snakes in the brown wood chips. Ty taps me and looks in the glass with awe, "Mommy choc-o-late." Love it... Amy, I believe has a cute family picture that we took with the lights. Here you can enjoy the one I have of Ty crying cause he is so cold (I think) and Zack snuggled sleeping nice and warm.

Santa enters in a CHOPPER

I am pretty sure that my last post talks about us seeing Santa. It was fun, yet cold (like all of the other Christmas activities we have done so far). Anyway, here is one of the video clips. Ever since that day Ty has loved helicopters. I didn't make the connection until just now. How cute :)

Santa, Thanksgiving and Black Friday

SANTA
I will have to upload the video of Ty seeing Santa this morning. It was so fun and cold. Santa flew in on a Chopper in the Mall Parking Lot. On our way to stand outside the designated area all of a sudden Ty throws up his hands and screams Santa (in an excited tone). It was so fun to see the joy on his face. He loves Santa so much he even wakes up from his naps saying Santa and is always wanting to watch the old classics. I can't wait until he fully understands the meaning of Christmas and the wonderful sybolism that Santa can represent.
THANKSGIVING
Just wanted to say what a wonderful Thanksgiving it was with the fabulous food, family and friends. We had Thanksgiving at my parents house this year and appreciate all the hard work that was involved by all. Can't wait to see EVERYONE again, it is always so fun.
BLACK FRIDAY
I really don't feel like going into detail, but I just had to at least post how sad and disappointing it was to hear about the 34 year old, seasonal Walmart worker in New York, who got trampled on and killed this morning. How sad and selfish our world has become. I just can't imagine how THINGS can become more important than OTHERS. Today I was with my little sister waiting in a very long line at Kohls. She suddenly said, "I wish we didn't have money and we could just go places and get whatever we wanted." (something along those lines). Wouldn't that be wonderful if we could all just have what we needed and give. I know that this is where our Father in Heaven would like us to be and that I personally have some work to do, but it is a great reminder. I hope this Christmas (and throughout the whole year) to be aware of others, to serve and love more.
MERRY CHRISTMAS....I can say that now since Thanksgiving is over, Yeah!!

When your tired...your tired

My kids have not been on the best schedule lately. Especially when they are wide awake at 4:30 in the morning (happened today) and we only have one car (which I am so GRATEFUL for, you have no idea). So as you can see Ty decided to take a much needed nap for himself. Just a little bit ago he was sitting next to me while I am on the computer and next thing you know I hear the deep breathing. So precious, I love it!! They really do make your heart melt.

Fall Pictures

Boy am I lazy. I was just sitting here deciding whether or not I wanted to tell the story of how these pictures came about or if I should just post them. Now that I have started typing I might as well tell, right? So, all week I have been planning on having our Family Pictures taken on Saturday in Salt Lake by someone that lives in Idaho but was going to be down for a conferance (that is another story in itself). Aaron normally works on Saturdays but talked to his manager and switched so he worked today. Than I get a call this morning asking if we are still planning on taking pictures. To my surprise we had scheduled for Friday and I had been off all week. WHAT WAS I THINKING? After talking to her I even rememberd saying, "Friday will be great, that is my husbands day off." I really must have lost it though because I even planned other things to do in the Salt Lake area for Saturday. Anyway, we obviously were not going to make that seeing as I hadn't taken a shower and was in a sweat outfit :). I ended up calling a photographer in my ward to see if she would be willing to take our pictures. She said she was going out of town for the week tomorrow and when she got back we could do it, but the fall colors that were left would be gone. So in the spur of the moment we decided to take them today. I think they turned out SO GOOD. She did an Amazing job. Especially taking into consideration we did them at 2:30 and Ty had not taken a nap and Zack had just started one in the car. Here are a few... Enjoy (They are not uploading and I need to hit the sac, it's 1:12 a.m., so you will just have to see them tomorrow)

Ball Sleeping

Last night Ty decided that he was going to sleep with one of his balls. It is about the size of a basketball, but bouncy. To my surprise when I went into his room this morning he had the ball in his hands!! I should of taken a picture. Aren't kids just adorable. No wonder we are told to become as little children. I often reflect on how forgiving and unconditional their love is. They are truely special and such a gift.

Life...A random tidbit

I just want to post and say how grateful I am for family and friends. They honestly are a blessing in my life and are sometimes more than I deserve. (Lately, I start writing a post and erase it because I think my words can't express how I really feel, or I don't have enough patience to write down how I am feeling) Anyway.... I am so blessed to have a husband who loves me so much and truely has the same goals as I do. To be able to talk and work together as a family striving for exaltation. He is so wonderful and I am proud of the man he is. Granted life can be hard, especially when he is working full time, school full time and daddy of two. I am realizing that one of the hardest things to do is put my faith fully in my Father in Heaven. To trust that he knows best and will bless our lives. I know that the trials we go through are for our good. Yesterday I was having such a good day, even though I found out both of our cars are no good and have to go to the junk yard. Today was not so good as I started thinking about all the things wrong in my life rather than looking at all I have been blessed with. Isn't it crazy how fast our mood can change, if we let it. Writing this is making me recognize that I need to try harder and be better. Thanks to all of you who are such good examples to me and love us for who we are :). Life really is wonderful as we are surrounded by so much love...

4 Months and 25 Months ALREADY?!

Doctors Appts....gotta love them right? Actually my kids were extremely good at the doctors yesterday. We went in for Ty's 2 year checkup and Zack's 4 month. Boy do they grow up fast. They keep me on my toes, that's for sure. I am currently deciding that this post is going to be a shout out to Ty for his 2nd birthday (which I am a little late on...sound familiar) and for Zacks 4 month....
Lets start with Zack. At his doctors appt he was 15 lb and 25 in long. He loves to babble at you and smile really big. I noticed yesterday that he loves to see himself in the mirror. It is so adorable to watch him get this big grin. Zackers (nickname) is strong and is ready to start playing with the bigger toys. He loves to lay in your lap, facing you, while you tickle or just talk to him. Poor guy is still having some acid reflex problems and spitting up, but he is such a good sport. Hopefully he will grow out of it soon, that's what they say. Here are some pics (the newborn ones and 1st month I downloaded to my Dad's computer...gotta get those).
2 months.....
3 months....
4 months....
Tylers turn...Tyler has turned into a toddler so fast it is hard to imagine him as my newborn. I am loving his personality, most of the time. Currently everything is his, although he is very good at sharing...depends on his mood at the time. He is super good at communicating and occasionaly loves to talk your ear off with his babbbling. He did this to the doctor yesterday it was hillarious. Ty can pretty much say anything he wants and is starting to put together sentences longer than 2 or 3 words. One of his favorite words right now is "Thankyou" and "Mine" and he loves to put "Nemo" in all by himself, although he is often playing with his toys while the movie is on. I love his sweet nature and giggle, along with Zacks. He is a dancing machine and loves to sing. Here are some pictures of his birthday...Yes he loves Barney and the Wiggles (anything that has music). His birthday didn't turn out quite as expected as he had another ear infection, thank goodness he finally has tubes, and was not the happy camper we would have hoped for. Most of the day was great, it was just the cake/present time, the time that normally matters....lol.
Some of the party animals...

The cake...(thanks to a friend in my ward)
Boy do I LOVE my BOYS....All 3 of them

Zacks Baby Blessing

I meant to blog about Zacks Baby Blessing a few weeks back. It was a wonderful day and so nice to be surrounded by friends and family. Zack is such a doll and I am so grateful this sweet little guy is in our family. I was at my Moms house tonight and she commented that Zack must have really known me in the pre-existence. He really is attached. I made sure he was fed and almost asleep before I left him with her, for about 1/2 an hour, to take the boys to Walmart. I walked in to have her tell me he just wouldn't be comforted. I set him in my lap and to my surprise he quieted down. It is amazing the bond that these innocent little ones have with their mommas/dads. They are so precious...

Fall Break

So far Fall Break has been a BLAST!! Together we have carved pumpkins, played games, gone to the park, Kangaroo Zoo and much more. (We have even started to fix a car that has been dead for a couple of years). While the rest of the extended family is in Oregon (where we would love to be if circumstances permitted) we are here, obviously, and decided to make the most of our vacation. Vacation meaning Aaron had one day less of school and work. Today really showed me how un-selfishness really helps to make us happy. Aaron and I decided that our day was dedicated to giving our boys an enjoyable time and we ended up having just has much fun. Here are a few pictures from carving pumpkins Wed night and Kangaroo Zoo today.
Here are our new additions to the pumkin family...
For those of you who know Ty you know it takes a while for him to warm up to new things, sometimes. Here he is goofing off in the little play area before he hits the big blow up toys...
These pictures speak for themselves...
Can't forget about little Zack of coarse, who slept most of the time. Here is Tyler and Aaron doing what they did best...

At least once a week

I have decided that I am going to try and post at least once a week. Looking at my blog maybe we should start with once a month :). I love seeing others blogs and always think about needing to update mine..I just need to DO IT! Well I'll just start by posting a few pictures from events that could have/should have been blogged about, but were not. Here goes nothing!!

Here we are at Chuckie Cheese the day before Tys Birthday. He had a blast!!

Chels and I took the kids to the Bean Museum randomly one day..they loved seeing all the aminals

Here are 3 of the 8 little ones left to take a picture. Lets just say it wasn't the best day for the kids to have a playdate. As you can see they did end up enjoying themselves or at least wanting to say cheese for the camera. The pumpkins turned out cute!!

Becca's 16th Birthday

Here is part of the video that Aaron and I made in memory of Becca for her 16th birthday on Thursday the 9th. (I will have to have him upload the other half). I had never made a video before and found this week that I was eating, drinking and sleeping over it. Even though it was a lot of work, it was well worth it. I loved the feeling that happened watching my family watch it and as soon as Becca popped up on the screen. I have really learned this week that Heavenly Fathers hand is in all things. Too often am I taking the little things for luck or granted. Even when making this video the way the music went together and being able to find the right songs, I know I was being guided. There is no way I could of done this all by myself. Aaron was also amazing and dedicated all day Thursday to make it so much more than it was. I am so grateful for his help all the time. I am also so grateful for the get togher we had. I love spending time with my family and am grateful for all that they do for me. The video was only one special part of the night as Chelsea had this adorable cake and flowers, the parents provided a wonderful dinner and Laura added to it with delicious goodies and beautiful flowers for the grave.

New Goals

Ty loved eating the pudding that's for sure!! And here is the end result....
Here are all the girls at the get together
(Lauralee, Emily, Kanessa, Lanae, Nicole, Carly and Me)
Ty playing peek-a-boo while Zack is ready for the picture

So I have set some new goals for myself that I wanted to start this week. One important one is spending more quality time with Ty. I love to be organized, but it doesn't always work out that way. Last friday I created a spreadsheet of things I was going to work on which included an activity each day that was especially for Ty. I have posted some of the pictures from our first adventure....We used instant pudding (colored with food coloring) as our drawing utensil and construction paper as the background. Boy did he love it!! After a hard morning that I had (hormones can get ya) I realize that I truely do love being a mom and a wife. Aaron was at work tonight but the rest of us went to a Birthday get together with some friends. It was good to see everyone and fun to catch up after the summer :) Hence the other pics.

Boy am I bad at this

Wow, who knew I would be soo bad at this blogging thing! I guess it is my procastination that kicks in. Well, this summer has been busy, busy so far! I have obviously had a baby and just got back today from 2 weeks of vacation. Last week we went to Wolf Creek for a fun Family Reunion on my Moms side (which was way too short) and this week I decided to tag along with my family to St. George while my wonderful husband, who I missed terribly, stayed home and worked. Where are all the pictures you ask? Having a camera with dead batteries doesn't do you much good. Here are two though that I snagged from other people :). I have really loved spending so much time with everyone though and can't believe the summer is almost to an end. It is crazy how time goes by. I am grateful for everyday and the memories that are made. It is wonderful to have the gospel in my life and have a desire to be a better person! To know familys are forever! I really do Stand All Amazed at the Love Jesus Offers Me!!
