Big Fun 2 Days in a Row

The first week in December Ty and Zack (mostly Ty) were able to enjoy "The Museum at Gateway," and the "Zoo Lights." I had never even heard of the Museum at Gateway. Annie took me up there and the kids had a blast. They have all sorts of fun stuff to do I wouldn't even know how to explain it all. And what do you know, they even have a real helicopter outside that the kids can sit in while it makes the noises. Ty wanted to keep going outside so he could see the helicopter. It was alot of fun. If you are reading this Amber we even saw a picture of you in one of the recording booths. So fun!! I totally forgot to take pictures until right when we were leaving so here is a picture of Ty in the store (it is the only one I have, sad :(, we will have to go again for sure). Ty get pushing the button, "Help on aisle 5, help!" :)

Next the Zoo Lights. Thanks to Amy and Kirk for inviting us to come along. It was a good, FREEZING time. I mostly felt bad for Ty, seeing as he didn't want to keep his gloves on at all. Lots of the animals were not out or we could not see them, so that was sad, but what we did get to see was fun. The best was when we were in looking at the snakes in the brown wood chips. Ty taps me and looks in the glass with awe, "Mommy choc-o-late." Love it... Amy, I believe has a cute family picture that we took with the lights. Here you can enjoy the one I have of Ty crying cause he is so cold (I think) and Zack snuggled sleeping nice and warm.

Santa enters in a CHOPPER

I am pretty sure that my last post talks about us seeing Santa. It was fun, yet cold (like all of the other Christmas activities we have done so far). Anyway, here is one of the video clips. Ever since that day Ty has loved helicopters. I didn't make the connection until just now. How cute :)

Santa, Thanksgiving and Black Friday

SANTA
I will have to upload the video of Ty seeing Santa this morning. It was so fun and cold. Santa flew in on a Chopper in the Mall Parking Lot. On our way to stand outside the designated area all of a sudden Ty throws up his hands and screams Santa (in an excited tone). It was so fun to see the joy on his face. He loves Santa so much he even wakes up from his naps saying Santa and is always wanting to watch the old classics. I can't wait until he fully understands the meaning of Christmas and the wonderful sybolism that Santa can represent.
THANKSGIVING
Just wanted to say what a wonderful Thanksgiving it was with the fabulous food, family and friends. We had Thanksgiving at my parents house this year and appreciate all the hard work that was involved by all. Can't wait to see EVERYONE again, it is always so fun.
BLACK FRIDAY
I really don't feel like going into detail, but I just had to at least post how sad and disappointing it was to hear about the 34 year old, seasonal Walmart worker in New York, who got trampled on and killed this morning. How sad and selfish our world has become. I just can't imagine how THINGS can become more important than OTHERS. Today I was with my little sister waiting in a very long line at Kohls. She suddenly said, "I wish we didn't have money and we could just go places and get whatever we wanted." (something along those lines). Wouldn't that be wonderful if we could all just have what we needed and give. I know that this is where our Father in Heaven would like us to be and that I personally have some work to do, but it is a great reminder. I hope this Christmas (and throughout the whole year) to be aware of others, to serve and love more.
MERRY CHRISTMAS....I can say that now since Thanksgiving is over, Yeah!!

When your tired...your tired

My kids have not been on the best schedule lately. Especially when they are wide awake at 4:30 in the morning (happened today) and we only have one car (which I am so GRATEFUL for, you have no idea). So as you can see Ty decided to take a much needed nap for himself. Just a little bit ago he was sitting next to me while I am on the computer and next thing you know I hear the deep breathing. So precious, I love it!! They really do make your heart melt.

Fall Pictures

Boy am I lazy. I was just sitting here deciding whether or not I wanted to tell the story of how these pictures came about or if I should just post them. Now that I have started typing I might as well tell, right? So, all week I have been planning on having our Family Pictures taken on Saturday in Salt Lake by someone that lives in Idaho but was going to be down for a conferance (that is another story in itself). Aaron normally works on Saturdays but talked to his manager and switched so he worked today. Than I get a call this morning asking if we are still planning on taking pictures. To my surprise we had scheduled for Friday and I had been off all week. WHAT WAS I THINKING? After talking to her I even rememberd saying, "Friday will be great, that is my husbands day off." I really must have lost it though because I even planned other things to do in the Salt Lake area for Saturday. Anyway, we obviously were not going to make that seeing as I hadn't taken a shower and was in a sweat outfit :). I ended up calling a photographer in my ward to see if she would be willing to take our pictures. She said she was going out of town for the week tomorrow and when she got back we could do it, but the fall colors that were left would be gone. So in the spur of the moment we decided to take them today. I think they turned out SO GOOD. She did an Amazing job. Especially taking into consideration we did them at 2:30 and Ty had not taken a nap and Zack had just started one in the car. Here are a few... Enjoy (They are not uploading and I need to hit the sac, it's 1:12 a.m., so you will just have to see them tomorrow)

Ball Sleeping

Last night Ty decided that he was going to sleep with one of his balls. It is about the size of a basketball, but bouncy. To my surprise when I went into his room this morning he had the ball in his hands!! I should of taken a picture. Aren't kids just adorable. No wonder we are told to become as little children. I often reflect on how forgiving and unconditional their love is. They are truely special and such a gift.

Life...A random tidbit

I just want to post and say how grateful I am for family and friends. They honestly are a blessing in my life and are sometimes more than I deserve. (Lately, I start writing a post and erase it because I think my words can't express how I really feel, or I don't have enough patience to write down how I am feeling) Anyway.... I am so blessed to have a husband who loves me so much and truely has the same goals as I do. To be able to talk and work together as a family striving for exaltation. He is so wonderful and I am proud of the man he is. Granted life can be hard, especially when he is working full time, school full time and daddy of two. I am realizing that one of the hardest things to do is put my faith fully in my Father in Heaven. To trust that he knows best and will bless our lives. I know that the trials we go through are for our good. Yesterday I was having such a good day, even though I found out both of our cars are no good and have to go to the junk yard. Today was not so good as I started thinking about all the things wrong in my life rather than looking at all I have been blessed with. Isn't it crazy how fast our mood can change, if we let it. Writing this is making me recognize that I need to try harder and be better. Thanks to all of you who are such good examples to me and love us for who we are :). Life really is wonderful as we are surrounded by so much love...
